Time Trial and Tri Bicycles
We have a rare approach to selling bicycles at The Bike Café. Here, the purchase of a new bike begins with a fitting assessment, either on your existing bike or on one of our shop models. We do this so that we can analyze your body measurements, existing position, riding style, riding goals, and budget in order to determine the optimal frame size, component composition, and wheels. You will receive several bike build options to choose from. Once you select your build, we order your bike.
When we receive your bike, we meticulously inspect the bike and all the components. First, we inspect the frame’s alignment on our surface plate. Once we know the frame is true, we inspect every component before we install it. On average, we spend 4 hours building a new bike, 6 hours if we are also building wheels as well. While we have the skill to rush a build, we prefer not to.
For new bike purchases, the fitting is included in the price of the bike. We encourage new cyclists to return 90 days after the purchase for follow-up adjustments; experienced cyclists can come in as needed.
Colnago Flight
Team Type I rode the Flight to impressive results at the Tour of California, and Bbox Bouygues Telecom’s Pierrick F&eactue;drigo flew in the 2010 Criterium International. The Calnago Flight is designed using advanced computational fluid dynamics techniques. The Flight is the fastest bicycle Colnago has ever produced.
Wind-tunnel tested to maximize its aerodynamic qualities, the Flight’s beta carbon monocoque frame offers a silky smooth ride with surefire Colnago handling that provides zip through corners. Internal cable routing ensures that drag is reduced to a minimum.
Available in red and black, the Flight can be set up with a forward triathlon position or a more traditional road position.
Guru CR.901
The Guru CR.901 has a completely redesigned frame profile based on comprehensive aerodynamic analysis and testing with advanced wind tunnel performance and the Crono's renowned ride quality and comfort to give the fastest race bike in the tri game. It is a fully customizable, seamless carbon frame. Guru Magis
The Magis is a fully customizable, seamless aero carbon road frame, with the capacity to perfectly dial-into a rider’s sweet spot, where power transfer, aerodynamics, and position sustainability are optimized over the long haul. The Magis is optimized drag by using aero-profiled tubing from top-to-bottom, including a proprietary carbon seat post design.
